Sound Card For Sonar 7

HELLO,

which soundcard can you recommend me for sonar 7? which one gives the best results and compatibility (don't care about how much they cost)

i asked some music shops here in greece but most were selling sound cards that included cubase or protools but i want sonar better.

so is there a sound card that goes with sonar?

If you check out cakewalk.com, they typically keep a list of soundcards that work with Sonar. You may find a particular one you recognize and trust it will work for your needs.

There are so many good ones out there to choose from. I opted for the Focusrite PRO 26 i/o but if I had the extra cash I probably would have bought the RME 800. Having said that, I am very pleased with the PRO 26 i/o.

What's the plan? I mean, how many simultaneous tracks do you intend to record, are you needing on-board preamps or will you be getting externals? Phantom power required? Do you prefer/desire firewire, PCI or other (this goes to the performance capabilities of your PC as well.
