Thanks for your help here....I am considering buying n-track as my first computer program. I have a decent computer but when I had it made for me, at the time I didn't ask for any special sound card, because at I wasn't even thinking about home recording. So it has a "standard" sound card, a cd player and a cd burner.
My question to you is this: If I install n-track and get all my sounds into my computer via my cd player...can I bypass the need for a special soundcard if I am loading all my music/sounds into my hard drive via my computer cd drawer/player?
I have a JVC cd player/burner recording studio machine that is plugged into my Yamaha stereo powered mixer that lets me burn cd from my guitar/keyboard, etc)...but there is hardly any editing allowed. Thus my need for the n-track. So is this OK? Will I run into problems than I am just not aware of right now? Anyhow, I respect this Web Site and its forum users and by posting this question before going out and buying, or doing something stupid....I am confident is the right thing for me to do.
