I went and bought an AT 4033. I finally got to do some recording tonight and WOW! I was used to using SM57's and Sennheiser dynamics, wow! Now I understand all the stuff about room sound and all that. It has opened a whole new world up to me! And By just re-recording the vocal and acoustic guitar in one song, it fixed my "lack of sound" issue I was having.
So my lesson learned. The mic matters A LOT!
