Just one thing to say, you could have cubase or pro tools or cakewalk or any audio application... But there are so many variable's in the chain before the application comes into play...
The source, pre's, mixer, AD converters audio interface etc.
Then there of course is the way you mix it, the effects you apply...
The software acts as the host to control your music, mix etc.
You control the sound, the reason software like Cubase, Cakewalk, Protools etc are so good is because they allow for great control over your music, they give you freedom, they're user friendly, they dont make your music sound good or bad...you do
All IMHO of course...
