THE LAST THING I PLAN ON DOING IS CONNECTING MY CASIO KEYBOARD TO THE TASCAM THROUGH A Y-CABLE FROM THE AUDIO OUTPUT TO THE TASCAM...

I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY THING THAT ANYBODY CAN SUGGEST TO HELP ME..ANY TRICKS, TIPS OR TECHNIQUES..

HOWSABOUT YOU HOP ON OVER TO THE DRUMMER'S FORUM - THERE'S PLENTY OF INFORMATION THERE ABOUT HOW TO DEPLOY A MULTI-MIC SET - IN FACT YOU'LL PROBABLY FIND THAT IF YOU'D NOT DONE THIS BEFORE THE RECOMMENDATION WILL BE THAT YOU TRY, FIRST, A 4 MIC SET UP TO GET THE HANG OF THINGS, BUT I'M NOT A DRUMMER SO I DON'T REALLY KNOW.
THE OTHER THING IS THAT THEY REALLY LIKE PEOPLE WHO TYPE IN CAPITALS ALL THE TIME AS THEY'RE DRUMMERS AND ARE USED TO BLUDGEONING THINGS. ASK FOR GREGOIS LE BLOODSHIT... HE'S VERY HELPFUL.

i am currently putting together a new home studio
i am on an incredibly tight budget.
i plan on getting a tascam 2488 neo
with behringer truth b2030a monitors (or something different? if you have an opinion..im looking for something thats $300 for the pair)
i plan on recording a gretsch drumset
it is a 5 piece set with hi-hats/crash/ and a ride
now to do this..i was deciding between..the
cad premium 7 piece mic package

i know that 8 pieces is better but the 8 piece pack is 350 compared to 7 for 200

so..the question is...which one should i get...the overall best quality sounding package...or if there is any others out there i should look into...thanks...

the next question is...
is there any tips on how i should record my drums with any one of these packages..i am trying to get the best quality sound i can with my low budget...any tips or techniques or maybe extra equipment i should pick up...thanks

for my vocals i plan on getting just a regular old condenser mic...theres alot...but i just plan on something around 200 or less..

the other option is a ribbon mic? i really have no idea the difference it makes except how its built...but is that better for vocals?

the last thing i plan on doing is connecting my casio keyboard to the tascam through a y-cable from the audio output to the tascam...

i just want to know if there is any thing that anybody can suggest to help me..any tricks, tips or techniques..
any thing i should buy or anything that will make a big difference in quality..i just want the best quality i can get...i mean the best best i can get for my budget....please help me thanks....
