against the natural:.....man that bass sounds great!...not real keen on the lyrics...."east coast french toast"...but so what?. right?....and ..also not a fan of the devil making "cameo"..appearances in the lyrics....lol..:D
but sounds like a tight band....and the mix well what the hell can i say....sounds great....drums very stereo spread...
i gotta say if i had to pick one thing to try to emulate here it would have to be that bass sound.....man thats good...

Okay, I checked out the studio on your website, and I have a favor to ask. The next time you do work for Stevie Nicks, my daughter gets an "advanced" copy, okay? She's a HUGE fan. I mean, you don't have to post it or anything...email will be just fine. I don't even care if Stevie's back on the "cola," really...just lemme' know, okay?

Im just a little guy now, last Stevie Nicks thing was 5 or six years and two studios ago...butI'll keep you in mind if the winds change again :)
 
Im gonna see if I got any notes or tracksheets left from ATN, to see what the story was on the bass...I do remember that last chance to ride had one bass player who was REALLY good, in a band called chamber 8 now, while the other song had a not as good bass player with better gear
 
Phoenix is a happening place for music. I should of never split up with my g/f that now lives there in a big house with a pool. My momma raised a fool.....Maybe she will take me back as my marriage is in pieces now. So you have worked with Halford and Megadeth. I knew they were based there. I checked out your web site.... Quite a list of clients. Were all just little guys now.....

big house and pool??? whats her phone number ? :) damn I bet she has FOOD too! Phoenix isnt AS booming as it was, but its starting to pick up again. Tempe just passed a non smoking law, so theres some trouble getting conventions into town and some bars are closing.

Sports stuff is sometimes dragging people into phoenix more lately, so bands are making money.
 
Phoenix is probably booming more than most places reguardless...
The economy seems to be fried here but the University of Oregon just spent 100 million to Improve Autzen stadium, so maybe they will have rock concerts again there. but I doubt it....Damn theres a lot of money in sports......
 
"Stick Around"

Guits start real fuzzy... worrying me that the mix will come out wooly; but when the bass comes in, everything sounds great. The BGVs (verse) seem to fade out too soon... maybe some fader moves/compression could level those out, if it wasn't your intention...

Kind of a "vanilla" song for my tastes, but a solid chunk of pop for the masses. The boys do sound like they're behaving themselves a bit too much... maybe a few minor felonies and jailings would give their sound an edge? :p :D Harmonies in the last minute of the song sound the best... the thin layer of guitar distortion in the center of stereo (around 4:10) doesn't do much for me... but that's just personal taste. This could work...

Now, about that last three seconds of the file! :eek: Tease! :p Nice & clean...

I think the pitch shift in vegas and the dsound DT-1 were used on the end vocal

SoMm, nah its cool...he makes people think, and thats good...just dont follow his idea of co-opting someone else's idea and then JUMP ship to a different BBS since they pay you more
