If somebody could help me with some advice that would be great. I will be buying the following components most probally.

High end casio keyboard
Qulaity mixing desk with pre-amps (BEHRINGER)
Condenser microphone (BEHRINGER)
Monitor speakers ( Good quality)
EMU ( Creative ) 2 tier sound card - PCI

How do i hook all this stuff up in home? The soundcard has a midi in / midi out port. Can I plug the stuff into the mixing desk direct and then stright into the sound card? If not what kind of configeration would I need to hook it up?

I will be unsing Adobe Audition 1.5 for sound editing software. The soundcard does comes with recording software?

Some help would be great since I did not grow up as a musician it kinda happened late in life thanks. Even some resources would be great since this music is very precious to me.

If you want to learn about recording then I'm afraid you're going to have to invest a little time and effort yourself.

I'd do some research on which type of recording setup would best suit your circumstances and budget before you go parting with your hard earned. You should pick up on how things interface with each other and how to hook stuff up along the way

Behringer is not considered good 'quality', it may work for you but just make sure there isn't better quality available for the same or perhaps not much more money. Also do some research on some of the other gear you intend to buy and make sure you are getting the best and most suitable for the budget you have. I can relate to having a low budget but there is some reasonable gear out there at good prices, there is also a hell of a lot of crap.

This very site is an excellent resource, the search facility is your friend.

The project studio handbook is also very useful.

When you have a better understanding of how you'll be doing things you can fire away with more specific questions in the relevant forum.
