software to convert staff to tab or just playback notation? (edited title)
Does anyone know of a freeware program that does this. KInda like the opposite of Powertab? I thought PTB would do it, and it may but I sure as hell haven't fighured it out. I realize that that type of conversion wouild be more compliacted as multiple places to play same note on gtr. any help appreciated. Well after thinking about this and relaizing my original title was bassackwards I have come to a possible solution. Basic music notation software that will play back. The reason for this exercise is to help me get the feel for difficult rhythms (heavy syncopation, weird time sigs, rests etc.).. By inputing the stuf I then can hear it back. I read music well but I find it easier to hear it once first. THis helps for later recognition of patterns and permutations for later use. Sorry for the crap title and the edit.
