so who has ever heard that davisound?

Is there anybody out there that has ever compared a tb6 to other high end preamps? I mean, it is just hard to believe that a handcrafted highquality 4 channel preamp should only cost 650 $. If it sounds just half as good as they claim, it would be incredible.

A few months ago, Recording Engineer put a tune up in the mp3 clinic which had been recorded using a Neumann TLM-103 and DaviSound TB-3. It was awesome, and I don't use that word lightly. It had more clarity and presence than any mp3 I've ever heard.

I got so excited I emailed Davis and asked him if he'd do a channel strip for me, but he said he wouldn't. I'd have to buy the pre AND the EQ AND the compressor. Too rich for my blood. But if I win the lottery, count me in.
 
The TB-6 "mic all" pre probably isn't as nice as the TB-3, but I'm sure it IS nice and it has 4 channels for $650. I also emailed Davis and he said he'd build me one with two "mic all" pres for $495. I'm still trying to figure out a way to convince my wife I need another piece of gear. She just doesn't seem to get it.
