Small Home Recording Monitor Options?!

I'm looking for a good upgrade to the Roland Stereo Micro Monitor MA-8's that I'm currently using. I'm not trying to spend $1,000 or anything, but I really need some decent recording monitors for a one-bedroom-type studio. What are some great options? Seems like there's several out there, but I definitely want something better than these Roland MA-8's!

Well, what IS your budget (if it's not $1,000)? There's a whole lot of crap out there in the under-$1k price range (both literally and figuratively).

what happened to the Wharfdale ? These are approx. $280 -300 pair and were raved about, sometime ago.

with Free ground shipping... These were touted for sometime as a great buy under the $1000 mark and probably a good deal above the MA-8. a solid 6.5 inch
