Hello.

I decided to throw this one here since it's been ages since I posted here. I now play bass in a frequently gigging band and guitar in a band starting out, not much time for home-recordings.:( (plus a daytime job...)
I also lost a good setup of drums, orchestra and choirs and whatnot, as I recently formatted my laptop.

But having spare time this morning I sat down with an Epi LP baritone I bought a couple of days ago. My old slide-bar was close by, so I grabbed it too, and in a few minutes found myself tracking two guitars to my trusty old MR8HD.:D

Since I haven't got a good drumsequencer handy, I just added a kick in there.

Slide-methaaalll!!!

to much distortions on the guitars imo. there's alot of white noise. you could still get that big guitar sound with less distortion. wish the drums did something more interesting...

"slide metal" is the new "death country"!

agreed with the above...but as an experiment it works...makes the chord changes much more interesting...

Country Death Song anyone!
Day Jobs! Who needs - ah, yeah right...I do.
Yeah, good ideas - work on them.
I quite like the noise!

Haha!
"I like the noise!"
Rayc has taken too much coffee.:)

Thanks for them replies! The distortion increased tenfold going through Izotope Ozones middle-push-master-plugin, or something I threw in there to get some volume. It's actually recorded DI through a mesa V-twin with gain just above first quarter. (not much) The noise is also from the ungrounded V-twin.
Yeah.. I kinda miss fooling around with a drum sequencer, but, it's a hassle to install and learn to do properly. So, I've used to just throwing in a kick for the bandmates to keep track of rhythm.:o

WAAYYY better than those "KLICKCLACKCLACKCLACK KLICKCLACKCLACKCLACK KLICKCLACKCLACKCLACK KLICKCLACKCLACKCLACK !!!!" -Friggin' clicktracks than make you go insane!!!..:D

Sliding death from Suomi!!
It must be great living in a country where the most popular music is metal.....:D Pretty interesting stuff, Jouni, sounds very original. Make a real song out of it. Riffing sounds great!

Joey :):):):)

All I get from slide is some obscure non-musical sounds. I gave up...

You sound like a busy man - good idea to sit down and record a song to keep in the habit.

Sounds good so far. Maybe get one of your bandmates to add some vocals.
