I just built a some rack furniture that has a slant to it, so I can access knobs etc easier if I am standing or whatever. I have a ART PRO VLA compressor with needles and am wondering if having this in the slant effects how these will read? Or I guess, are there any pieces of gear that need to be "level" to operate correctly? I see gear mounted in rack mount stuff all the time in pictures, but not sure if there are certain things that shouldn't go in there

Some older disc stuff needed to be level but with most modern gear it's not an issue. It shouldn't affect meters.

You still have to look at them straight-on to see them accurately... But you shouldn't be relying on your meters that much anyway... :D

my M Audio Tampa pre it on a very steep slanting rack on my desk and the needles jitter when I power it up but it still functions ok....I've thought about it too
