Hello guys! I searched through peoples recording spaces a week ago, almost every page and was simply BLOWN AWAY by the awesomeness. Anyway, with that said, this is my first post!

OK, lets get right to it. Im brand new at this, and poor... but I gotta start somewhere. Wet the whistle. Two questions!

Will this product right here:
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.co...ual-14-inch-to-USB-Cable-Interface?sku=580882

1. Will it work in connecting my V-drums, in stereo, too my computer... and be compatible with Adobe Audition (or a freeware digital audio editor, perhaps Audacity) ?

2. The qaulity with doing that, SHOULD be better than connecting in mono a 6.35mm cord from module, then into that small-to-big adapter into 3.5mm, then into my audio input jack eh?

If your Virtual Drummer has a L&R or Stereo out then it will work.
It will be better than your second option and it will be just fine but it won't be superdedooper great. :)

thanks for the reply!

by virtual drummer, you just mean my module (the electronic drums brain) I hope? Not like that MIDI to EZDRUMMER type thing..?

If by that, you mean just the e-drum module, yes it has L&R stereo so I can pop both those suckers in those 2 slots and the USB into the computer! hopefully!

Maybe another question.. haha, would a USB 2.0 be a minimum requirement? I think this fairly new computer has just bloody 1.0 ones. If mandatory I could buy a cheap Dynex and pop that in a slot im sure..

Actually, I'm more concerned about the "Line Out" than whether it's a drum kit or rhythm ace.
The device you are looking at is essentially a "Y" so as long as you have stereo out, you can take full advantage of it. Looks like you have.
USB 1.0 may give you grief when your computer tries to accept the device.
You can buy a PCI card with 4 USB ports for less than $50 these days.
You probably have a couple of things hooked up to your PC already that would be well served by upgrading to USB 2.

Edit: Oh, and check out Kristal Audio Engine. It's free and user friendly.
