silent metronome

I'm looking for recommendations for a metronome to be used while recording. It must be able to handle common time signatures (4/4,2/2,2/4,3/4,6/8). Are there that flash on beats (and differently for the downbeat)?

What you are asking for is now quite common. There are a variety of different electronic metronomes available. The one that I use is a small Korg. You can put it on mute and you have a little digital lcd display of the pendulum with two blinking dots. You can set it up for different time signatures, you can plug it into you headphones to get a click. It alo has a built in tuner where you can change octaves. Cost is under $30.

That little Korg sounds cool. Any chance it has a MIDI input so you can start it from a DAW?
