shure sm57 is it broken?

So i traded in some music gear today and got an sm57 a cable and stand. This is my first 57 so i dont know if this is typical the top section spins like it doesnt tighten or loosen just spins is this normal or should i bring it back

Yes, the spinning top section is normal on an SM57.

That's normal. It doesn't unscrew from there or anything...

i wasn't sure if it was normal but it does sound great
