I'm currently using Sonar 2.2 on a Pentuim III machine. 650Mhz, 384 MB ram and an Audiophile 2496 sound card. Will Sonar 3 run well on my old machine?

Your machine does not meet the minimum specs for Sonar 3.0. As such, it probably won't run, and if it does, it certainly won't run well.
