The whole reason I considered Alienware was because they concentrated on gaming, video or audio. However since the 9860 & the 7700 are the same exact laptop I would prefer going with the Sager. However, I just found out today that they are powerhogs, and would be lucky if you could get 1.5 hours of battery power. This is a bigger concern for me than heat (I can buy a cooling unit), since I would like to use it on the plane to watch a DVD (but you can't - battery dies before you can finish watching Bambie).Josh83 said:Dracon,
I'm not saying you should rule out Alienware, just passing along what I have read.
Sager books look fantastic--even though they have heat issues, too. The 9860 is just an AWESOME machine. From what I hear pctorque.com has great support, too.
If you are willing to go the laptop cooler route, I think you are definitely right to think about them.
I don't want to get into coolers, so I think I am limited to Centrino processors or the new AMD Turion processors, assuming that some companies start using them and they go on the market in the next 2.5 months.

Anyway, I'm considering the Sager 4750 or the 4760 and even perhaps their new one the 7620. I still have some time to do more research and decide.
I appreciate you turning me to the notebookforum.com 'cause it's been a wealth of knowledge (reviews, users, problems, loves, hates, pros, cons, etc).
