I have tried to connect my Alesis SR18 to Cubase 11 via midi and need some help. Here is what I have:
Hardware
Laptop - Lenovo 5; 16GB ram; 4 cores; 2TB recording drive; 1TB storage drive
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6; 3rd Gen
Alesis SR18 - latest update
Midi cables
Software
Cubase 11 Pro
Setup
Focusrite Scalett 8i6 connected via USB to Laptop
Alesis SR18 connected via Midi to Scalett 8i6
Outputs from SR18 into Scalett input line 5
Problem
I am able to record to record through Midi or Audio (mono) into Cubase 11 but can't hear the drum track on playback. Cubase Output is setup to use Focusrite USB ASIO. Drum track is setup to use All Midi Inputs. Ihave not found a tutorial online on how to setup the communication/connection for SR18 communication with Cubase 11 Pro or vise-versa.
What I want to accomplish
1. Match tempo between SR18 and Cubase 11
2. Have Cubase 11 start and stop the SR18
Need help. Thanks
