I just Order a digidesign control 24.
now i'm looking for a good mic to use wit it
I'm thinkin of pickin up a shure ksm44 or neumanns ( Not sure which one)
what mic would you recommend to for laying Hip Hop Vocals
and what mixer and other equipment should i get to go with my digidesign control 24 board?

To get the best out of a mic such as those a good preamp, and a compressor, especially one with a de-esser are important when recording vocals. A combined unit with all of those processors may suit you better, as one unit will take up less space. Maybe if you give the guys here an idea of your budget they can recommend something suitable.

You just spent $8K (first price that came up on Froogle) on a control surface/digital mixer thingy and you don't know what you need to buy with it??????
What do you have already? What is your experience with recording???
I would think anyone who spent that much on a mixer/control surface thingy would already have quite a bit of equipment, if not an ENTIRE studio already.

In guitar terms - I just bought a Goodall, and I need to know how to change the strings, how to tune it, and how to play a G chord.

it seems as though you took the anti behringer comments a little too seriously. i would suggest that you return that monster, seriously. you will once you can't figure it out. i highly suggest picking up some books on this subject, and spend a good amount of time just researching the mistakes people typically make. this falls in the far end of the spectrum of newbie mistakes: thinking the more you spend, the less you will have to know to obtain a good recording. as you can read in blue bear's signature "George Massenburg will get better results with a Portastudio, than a monkey with a Neve!!!." https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=133734. read the advice chessrock gave to hottsauce, its a pretty damn good rundown of the basics.
