Does such a thing exist?

I play acoustic guitar live in a duo and do a fair bit of lead / picked / complex chords etc... as well as singing doo wops and occasionally lead and also use a number of different effects patches...

ie. I'm REAL BUSY UP THERE...

I use a Digitech RP14D effect device with numerous patches and banks. These have 5 patches available each bank by stepping on pedals 1 - 5.

What with lights shining in my face and adoring females hurling themselves at the stage (OK.. perhaps that's not really happening that much) I have an occasional problem of stepping on the wrong pedal... ie. 4 instead of 5, which, depending upon which patch I mis-engage, can be not a good look at all, as my delicate chorusy/delay interlude turns into a fuzzed up (yes, I have a distortion patch for my acoustic..) mess.

So I figure a device where there is just one thing to step on, which cycles through a bank of patches each time I step on it, according to whatever order I program them in, would be perfect - I figure I can hit one pedal pretty consistently...

Does such a beast exist?

It would need to be be able to go, for instance:

Plain
Chorus
Plain
Distortion
Chorus
Plain

in the course of a single song. And have the full range of effects, not just the "acoustic" ones...

Any clues?

Cheers:drunk:

I'm not familiar with your pedal, but have some experience with different ones. Don't you use one pedal to move up each bank? Then when you do that you are already in the first patch of each bank, correct. So, couldn't you just configure the first patch in each bank to the sound you want and just use the bank pedal to move to each new patch (sound). I know that is wasting the other patches available in each bank, but it would be a quick easy solution.

I'm relatively sure nothing exists... I just took a quick look at the manual and there's no midi on the pedal...

Seems to me that if you have a MIDI-enabled effects box, then you just need to program a sequencer to send the correct order of program changes to the effects box each time you toggle a footswitch, presuming the effects box doesn't have that functionality itself.
