Way too much bass for my tastes, otherwise a solid mix. I'm only about 15 minutes in, but will be listening while doing other computer work. Off to turn the bass on my sub down... lol

It sounds badly overcompressed to me. Also serious subsonic is present in the mix, eating up even more headroom.
Make the master about 7 dB quiter and remove the subsonic. Then it might sound a lot better.

Nice demonstration. There IS a compromise that can be made, and good production can make louder... louder without it being overly compressed.

By today's standards Sensuality 6 is not over compressed, but there is a lot of mixing work needing to be done.

I master the best way I can, and all those satisfied people can't be wrong, can they? And I certainly can trust those feedbacks as well as my own ears. And my ears tell me to better turn this particular example off and recommend some improvements in the meantime.

I think, suggestions for improvements are appreciated by people posting their mixes here, so I do just that.

If there were a standard for wrecking music and thus scaring listeners away, I wouldn't care. I keep making good sounding CD's. It's my reputation which is at stake, and I'd prefer to be known for outstanding quality.
I'm sure that Sony and Philips developed the CD in order to actually improve the sound quality and dynamics of the recordings, and not for destroying it.
If no one takes my advice, it's not my fault, and I finally will end up in a mastering monopoly.
