sennheiser e609..list price?

i went to guitar center today to check it out and they had it listed at like 300+ and were selling it for 229. isn't this suppose to be like 100?

What you're looking for is the Sennheiser e609silver... great guitar amp mic, for $99. This is the mic that we're talking about on the SM-57 vs E609s poll.

That price sounds more along the lines of the other E609. Take a musicians friend catalog to your GC and see if they will match it.

Thaty price is not far off for a 609 gold. The 609 silvers are much cheaper.

Most Guitar Centers will sell it for $99 if you take the time to haggle a bit. There are other places selling for $99 too, so find one and use it for price matching if you need it.

The older E609's are black on both sides and have a different capsul along with a flatter response than the silver version. There was a guy on Ebay selling them for 129.00.......I bought 2 of them. (I think he's raised the price now to 149.00)

Check Full Compass. You have to call the 1-800 number to get prices, but I believe they're the cheapest E-store around...
