Hi guys.

I'm currently in the process of finalising my debut album. 13 tracks leaving me with around 50mb of disk space(CD) to which I was thinking of sloting in a 14th, and secret track. Well the space isn't really the only reason, I also have a personal reason for including this secret track. Anyway, I'm familiar with the different techniques used...for example, I'm not very keen on the track 00 method as I'm sure this takes things out of red book standard, something which I've tried to stay with throughout. So I was intending using the couple of minutes silence at the end of the final track before which, the secret track would play.

Now the thing I'm unsure about here is, I've obtained and registered my ISRC's. What impact would this have on my 13th track?
I mean...would my code of GB***0900013 refer to both tracks 13 and 14(hidden). I mean, should my 14th track recieve air time somewhere, would I simply recieve no royalties?

I don't think I'm explaining this very well and this has become something of an head scratcher for me but...I don't think my music has much chance of recieving any air play but...that doesn't stop me wanting to do this correctly.

The alternative is to leave track 13 alone and create track 14 with a 2 minute silence before the secret track kicks in and thus register a new 14th ISRC for this track but, this isn't how I've seen other commercial artist do it and it isn't the best way to hide a track either...and so I just don't know how to go about this.

Any advice from anyone that has crossed this problem before would be of great help.

Thanks in advance...
Mart.

Make it its own track, put a long pause (or a bunch of blank tracks) before it, assign any ISRC you want to it.
