Opinion asked,

I'm looking voor a new guitar, and the only thing set is the colour, i want to buy a white guitar, for the rest there isn't really a requirement, I play bluesrock but its tend to get a little bit harder then normal blues, it has some hard rock influences.

i've managed to narrow my choices to 2 guitars:

The Schecter C1 blackjack atx fr

and the ESP viper 1000 series

Sorry i don't place some pictures by it, but i haven't had enough posts yet to place some URL's into a thread

so which guitar do you prefer?

I have an ESP. I've had it for 4 years now. Every other guitar I've played really doesn't stand up to it much. I love it. So there ya have it.

+1 for ESP.

All about the Schecters

Well since they come from the same company you can’t go wrong with how they are made. SAMIK produces them so what ever......

I actually like the SCHECTER. TO me they don’t feel too much different and the quality is the same. I have played them for about 8 years now and the only other guitar I play besides my Schecters are my 2 Yamaha Drop 6s ( BARETONE ). Those simply kick some AIESSS:D

in my opinion i'd get the Schecter because the Viper looks stupid.

I love me ESP Viper more than any guitar I have ever had. I had a Schector C-1 Elite I got really cheap but sold it after a few months because I just didn't like it. I think the pickups were pritty harsh (in a bad way) too. But the ESP has EMG's which in my opinion sound good for rock/metal or blues. They are so smooth but still high output at the same time.

Here is my number 1, plus a gratuitous Mesa shot ;-)

ESP all the freaking way.

I have had that guitar around 18 years. It will always be my number 1. For blues, flip the selector to the neck pickup and you'll get a classic single coil sound. Plays killer.

Well it all has to do with the DUNCON DESIGN pickups Vs. EMG. My Schecters all have EMGs in them except for one.

The stock PU in a basic Schecter will be a very good well rounded rock sound. You can ask all the over all design options about any guitar but at th eend of the day its about quality and price.... Cant go wrong with a good Schecter....

I have a lower end Viper bass and I love it. My next guitar will certainly be a ESP. I have absolutely nothing again Schecters, I'm just a big fan of my viper and ESPs in general.

I have a Schecter C-1 Classic, and I don't know that I'll ever need to buy another guitar. I don't play much metal, but the SH-4 in the Bridge can handle it on the (rare) occasions I've needed it to.

Well i own two schecter guitars so i guess my answer is pretty clear although ESP's do have a spotless reputation. I just say play them both nothing beats your own ears an feel is all a matter of oppinion

Ive played the Schecter b4 and it took everything I had in me to NOT walk out of the store with it....

never been a fan of ESP's.....

opinions will vary, go with the one that gives you the sound you are looking for.....

I'm sorry but that statement makes you sound like a total poser. I wouldn't even chose my underwear based solely on color let alone a guitar.

Schecter. I love my C1. I tried the esp's but found the Schecter a much finer instrument. my .02. My C1 is jsut a great sounding gtr and plays very well.

+2:p
we risked buying a guitar and bass for a small USA tour a few years ago

i bought an ESP EC-300 , which has the soapbar pickups
people ofetn think its very expensive guitar,as it has somewheta of the look of a LP Goldtop about it
if i recal correctly, it was only something like $280 ! ! ! ! !
i LOVE mine, and its one of the very few guitars i will have shipped over to me in the USA very soon

ive never had a chance to try a higher end ESP/LTD, but id love to sometime
