Is there a way to only save the audios that you actually want. Let me explain. When I am recording and say do a guitar bit that isn't quite right,I rub it out and do it again. But this bit actually gets saved in the folder. I end up with shit loads of audios that I don't want and a huge folder. Then I don't know which is which and can't delete them for fear of being a tool again. I like to record a lot and pull out the best bits.

When you're done with your project (or you're sure you want to purge files) - go to the Pool window and choose "Remove unused media" - this will delete any media files not used in the current project.

Mind you, if you put multiple project in a single folder (bad idea anyways), this will not work for you....

Like Blue Bear said, make sure you keep your projects in separate folders that are well labeled. It really sucks to accidentally delete something that you didn't mean to delete. REALLY sucks.

Removing unused files doesn't actually remove the files though. It just moves them. Removes them from the actual pool to the trash. If you want them to stop taking up space, you also have to empoty the trash from within Cubase. (same menu that has remove unused media option)
