SAMSON R11 Mics

I recently purchased a Tascam 424MKII and 3 Samson R11 mics off Ebay. Are these R11s ok for home recording? Are they dogs? They sound OK but I have nothing to compare with. Used for acoustic instruments and vocals. Did I waste my money on the mics?
