roxul mineral wool question!

hey guys, i was wondering if roxul mineral wool 2 inch thick is the same thing as OC 703 2 inch acoustically? Does it do the same amount of absorbing? is the only difference between the two is that roxul mineral wool doesnt hold its shape but oc 703 does? let me know. thanks alot guys.

Its pretty close for the cost difference.


The 4" is same/better in some frequencies, and still cheaper. If it was me, I'd go with the rockwool unless I needed the rigidness of the O.C.. (I have both in my studio)
