roland ds 7 monitors

my local pro audio shop is selling a pair of roland ds 7 monitors at a damn good price the only problem is that he won't let me hear them before i buy. i was wondering if anybody has had heard them. i was wanting to go a little bigger than my event tr5's because i mix a lot of rrnb and hip hop. i know roland makes a good product but my main concern is the low end. do they have nice low end for mixing hip hop and rnb????

No, the Events would be better for hip hop and rnb. Even though i don't produce hiphop, my Event TR8's are overall awesome.

yes i agree my events are sound sweet but there just the tr5 which are the 5 inch woofer models. i was wanting to find something that could handle the low end a little better and not have to pay a big price

If the guy won't let you listen to them, don't buy them unless you get a robust return policy in writing.

Why won't he let you listen to them????

That's like going to buy a car and getting told you can't take it for a test drive!!

Tell him to stick them speakers up his ass!

I have Roland DS-5's.

I suggest you buy the Rolands from somewhere else which lets customers audition the monitors before making any final decisions.

he said if i open the box i have to buy them, but he is sellin them for $300 bucks, but yall are right he should at least let me see them, he is being a real dick head. i geuss i'll try to find some samson resovle 8 monitors
