My 80 gb recorder is telling me HD full.Its not possible.I have only 4 songs on it. I have deleted uneed data and still hd is "full"
Recorder is only a year old.

Do a reality check..

How big is the HD
How long are the songs
How many tracks and virtual track have you used
What bit depth and sample rate are the tracks recorded in

once you have that information take a look at this page and see if you are close to capacity. If not something else is going on..

Also, does your recorder allow multiple recording partitions? If so maybe you have only filled your active partition.

Does it have USB connector? Hook it up to a computer, you may find that whenever you had burned a CD wit it, it was making WAV copies of the songs, leaving those on the HD, but they would not show in the track info screen.
