Metal dude
I have been considering getting a RNC to go between my tape outs an cd burner. But i noticed the rnc has no input /output LED meters, how can i control how much input i am sending into the rnc?? basically how do i know if im overloading the unit??

It has gain reduction metering. I just use my ears and watch to see how much attenuation is going on when setting it up.

Great advice Track Rat :D People need to tune their ears to sounds of the music and all the different ways it can be effected by clipping, squashing, digital errors and others. LED's can be deceiving. So double check everything twice. In fact, Ive placed electrical tape over some of my LED in the past. One engineer I worked with used to have a pair of VU meters he swagged off a old desk and would insert them in different parts of the chain to help verify a processor, I can't remember exactly how it was set up though. Maybe someone else might do the samething. Blind people Mix better?

I use my ears, eyes and mouth (to drink beer) when monitoring sig levels thru the RNC.
