People need to tune their ears to sounds of the music and all the different ways it can be effected by clipping, squashing, digital errors and others. LED's can be deceiving. So double check everything twice. In fact, Ive placed electrical tape over some of my LED in the past. One engineer I worked with used to have a pair of VU meters he swagged off a old desk and would insert them in different parts of the chain to help verify a processor, I can't remember exactly how it was set up though. Maybe someone else might do the samething. Blind people Mix better?
