i've ordered this now, and i think the chap at the shop is quite brassed off they're only charging £99 for it. i had a quick chat & mentioned that they were £400+ new, and he was quite taken aback.
oh well, their loss....my valvey DI goodness.

And the quote I go from Westwood was $1259USD. Not all THAT expensive, but a bit too steep for me at this point with the few compressors I have, as it's not much of a versitile unit. Because if I wanted something with an agressive attitude, but still LOTS of versitility, I'd get the Distressor at the same price, but for one channel!

well it arived and it sounds good - i've used it to warm up bass, vocal & keyboard. it defiantely does add a little something....
on question though - if i crank the gain (on the high gain output - 30x gain) it suddenly breaks up inot *really* nasty distortion. i wonder if this could eb a valve thing - any ideas ? it's fitted with PM electronics 12ax7's
