What a cool opportunity for a culturally unique style of music!
I dig the style completely, but have to be unbiased on what I hear you should do in the production, as I believe that is what you are looking for.
The reverb on the vocals in two (that's the number I counted anyway) places, the parts where the music lets off and the vocals resonate downward....reverb is too dark. Not sure what unit or plugin you are using, but the tails are to deep. Somebody more qualified could give better advice, I am just pointing it out.
There is a point somewhere near the middle/end of the song where there are vocals beneath the keys (synth), and the synth is a little too loud. Just a bit too prominent.
Nice chimes to set the mood, nice vocal scales and delivery. Reminiscing, reminds me vaguely of one of my favorite songs, Miserlou by Dick Dale. He has Mid-Eastern heritage which, according to the media, was the inspiration for the song which ended up being an American "surf classic", perhaps the pinnacle of surf songs ever written.
A "club" style of production/writing, but very well done excepting the two minor issues in need of addressing.
