Not that you'll be putting these on the back walls of the home studio, but I built some huge resonators this past week and thought I'd show 'em off. They are part of the acoustic treatment for a church I'm doing some work at.
The big ones are 7'x8' and the smaller ones are 3'x8'. They vary in depth from about 7" at the bottom to 3" at the top. They also have some 1" rockwool inside. This beast of a room had a longer reverb time in the 5-600hz region so I tuned these to nab some of that range. With the sloped fronts, they also help break up the front/back wall flutter and reflect it up towards the ceiling where I flew some clouds of 4" 703. Fun stuff!
