I have some tape residue on my board from when I took it out for a week during the summer with my youth band while on a little "tour" I guess you could say. Anyways, the tape marking the channels has left residue on my board and it doesn't seem to wanna come off very easily, so do you guys any suggestions as to removing it with something? Without like...discolouring my board, thanks.

The best thing for cleaning tape goo is Naphtha (better known as Ronsonol lighter fluid). Moisten a Q-tip with the Naphtha and rub the goo away. If the idea of putting lighter fluid on your board doesn't appeal to you, you can try GooGone, which is citrus based.

If the goo is still tacky, you can use duct-tape. Just tear off a 6" strip and "dab" it sticky side down onto the goo. It could take some time but the goo usually comes off. Sometimes it helps to rub the duct-tape on and then peel off slowly.

If the goo is dry, you'll have to try the chemical weapons suggested by MadAudio.

I use a solvent-based product called M-1 remover, similar to the lighter fluid product, but without the stigma. Still quite flammable though.

As Heloise would say, always test on a hidden part first.
