Hi guys

i'm a noob user that plays guitar for 5 years and now i want to record myself with a better way that my phone does.

I've read something on web but i can't realize what to buy.

My equipment is a microphone with XLR and my acustic guitar with unbalance jack.
My purpose is to record in cubase in to separate line and using headphone to monitor.
I've see little mixers like behringer or peavey but they only sends usb main output and not single channel.

What i should do?

Thank you so much and excuse for my noobness and for my bad english :D

Read the sticky threads at the top of this section of the forum. You could use a USB mixer by panning one input all the way ot the left and the other input all the way to the right, but the best thing to do is get a dedicated audio interface with 2 channels. Plenty of choices in the $150 range.

Thank you for replying, i gave a look to the topics but i can't find recommended devices so i don't realize so much.

MAybe I should search only a preamp?
The controls on mixer are not so importart for me, i could insert FX and EQ on cubase...

No, you want to look at audio interfaces, which will have mic preamps in them. Go back and read the threads again about equipment needed and Bobbsy's "Mixers and Home Recording" thread, too.
As far as what models to buy, a lot will depend on what is available to you wherever you are (you didn't tell us).

For recording, I would recommend the Alesis IO|2 to start with. I am very happy with the quality and flexibility of mine. I do have several other audio interfaces, but for entry level cost/performance I believe that the IO|2 is the best deal hands down ($78US at Guitar Center).

The USB out is a left (mono) and a right (mono). Your DAW (Cubase) will allow you to record these as individual mono into separate (or just one) track. This is not an issue.

Thank you, Maybe i'll take focusrite because it's easy to find used and it's very appreciated online.
100€ used seems not bad

I have just started using a presonus audiobox 2x2 with reaper, and I've been quite happy. There is a bundle that comes with an XLR cable, diaphragm vocal mic and some decent studio over ear headphones.

I can't post a link yet since this is my first post. :\
