recording vocals only

All I want to do is voice recording, such as a seminar on tape, or book on tape, no music at all. The end product will be on cassette tape. Question: Do I need all this mixer stuff & multi track recorders. Or would a SIMPLE digital/computer recording program be best. Please help! Thanks

If all you want to do is tape vocal seminars or
books on tape, a simple casette recorder will do.
Or check out a Tascam Porta 02 @$150.00. This 4 track recorder allows you to record,overdub and mixdown to a standard cassette.
