Hey guys,.... If this is too much of a newbie question, please just boot me over that forum

I've been recording single and 2 -track sound clips thus far (Stereo in Edit View), but since I have a Delta 1010 with 8 In / 8 Out, I figure I should be able to record that many sources at one time (Yes / No??) I'll only be recording a max of 6 tracks anyway since that's all the mix pre's I have at this point --- I'm getting ready to start doing some Drum Test Tracks.
The problem is I have no idea how to set this up?? I've ordered the 2 - DVD set of instructional video's for AA 1.5, but they're not here yet......so I'm leaning on you guys
If someone could gently point me in the right direction on this, that would be great!
Thanks,
Rick
