Hey,
I am having trouble recording electric guitar using my Lexicon Alpha soundcard and Cubase LE 4/Cubase Essential, and since I can't seem to figure out how to make it work, I would very much appreciate if anyone is willing to help out.
(Know that I am a complete beginner, with zero experience of recording music at home).
1. Are there any crucial compenents needed for recording besides the recording software (Cubase), the Lexicon Alpha and my electric guitar? Such as a mic or amp?
2. What settings should I use?
I have connected my guitar to the Lexicon Alpha, but I get no response from Cubase, so I guess I'm doing it the wrong way. When connecting a mic I get sound, and it even works recording, but with the guitar I get nothing.
What could be the problem?
Thankful for any kind of help!
