Simple way to do it (and everything will line up):
Put a sharp click or two at the beginning of all the tape tracks.
Then transfer them over one at a time to the PC.
Then you can bring them into any sequencer on separate tracks and line up all the beginning clicks.
When you are finished, mix down the song and erase the beginning clicks with any sound editor.

cheers tim, i asked this same question on a german supplier of alesis 16,with cubase,.....they told me that its possible to record all 12 tracks together thru alesis , but i have to get cubase ESSENTIAL 4,...what do you make of that,...is it just a sales pitch by [ thoman]or what?dobrocop.[ sorry for delayed reply],..
