insults to your intelligence and manning1 is synonymous. You can't talk to him, he"ll just cry and spam even more, it's his MO.

adam.
if you refuse to acknowledge independent user and mag reviews i dont know what more i can tell you. and NO - i dont work for anyone.
i believe band in a box (see pgmain page) just got some tech award .
actually i HAVE tried many other packages. in fact i own magix own music studio (the little brother of samp). but it does not have some features i like in the midi area. the midi is not integrated.
in fact adam. take me on - but i know you wont.
lets compare features which you use and i use.
as your aware sound quality depends on the signal chain.
eg...convertor quality/mics/pre's.

fine "geeves"

I record at 24 bit 192 khz nowadays. Does powertracks do this?

adam.
the most powertracks will do is 24/88 or 92 i believe.
ive never used it.
no disrespect but - 192 ?
with greatest respect adam i wrote a little computer program to look at the higher khz files as i am a computer engr because i had to make my own decision on this issue.
fyi - 24 bit/44.1 or 88.2 is the most i recommend as what i found looking at bit patterns of higher rates was a ton of wasted space and padding in the bit patterns. if you dont believe me - as i'm sure you wont ....go talk to
a professor of physics who knows A/D/A inside out. or read some experts opinions on google groups.
lets go on.
i have full audio editing built in. in fact ease of editing is a strongpoint,
plus in midi i can have displays for guitar fretboard , bass etc.
do you have that ? midi is a strong point.

in fact a thousand features i have not started on.
your turn...
ps...i think the sound forge stereo editor is very good. as well the noise redn i found smoother than others.
by the way - i checked on the band in a box award.
its on the main page - editors choice award from em mag. peace.

mr manning,

I am tired of your doubletalk, it is worthless to continue the discussion with you especially since there is NO way I am going to purchase your 'product'.

buh-bye

adam.
its not MY product.
as i said i'm just a registered buyer/user of the product.
tell me what you use. and i'll try it out.
by the way i looked up some of your posts.
looks like you are a sonar user, a good product imho.
but some user on another forum i'm on commented on sound quality
with sonar. but maybe that was because of the type of soundcard he was
using or convertors.
i would love to know where i used doubletalk as you say.
its easy to throw such words out.
by the way if you check around ...a number of sonar users use band in a box.
peace.

It's only a coincidence that he writes sound oriented software and lives in the same city as the company.

hmm, where have I heard this before, oh ya...

by the way, tell me what car you drive and I'll try it out. Was that a buick I seen you drive by in, a good car imho.
but some driver from another garage i'm in commented on gas mileage
with buick. but maybe that was because of the type of tires he was
using or convertors.
by the way if you check around ...a number of buick users use vw in a box.
peace.

This is a great closing for sales manning, good job. this explains it all, you should have been a car salesman instead of peddling software.

morningstar..
where the heck did you come up with the fact i live in the same city.
if i remember they are in vancouver.
you are unbelievable.
in my email to dragon i suggested we all sign an affidavit that none of us works for any vendor. and i would be happy to sign such.
i just dont know where you pull these ideas from.
for the darn umpteenth time ...
I HAVE NEVER WORKED IN MY LIFE FOR NOR BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH ANY COMPANY PRODUCING ANY KIND OF MUSIC HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE PRODUCTS.
and if you want to know why i like the products (AS A USER) that i use, its because of the level of support us users receive from the company .
for example a user posting this...
http://www.pgmusic.com/cgi-bin/Ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=002833
and there are many many other examples of this from USERS.
but of course morningstar i guess you wont believe this either.

also..ps...if your going to point folks to my songs at least point them towards songs that were done on half decent equipment and not the ones that i did when i had to use old junk 4 and 8 tracks because i didnt have the budget as i was helping elder members of my family and various family crises at the time. I told you before if i remember - i had to sell a lot of hi end equipment to help elder family and have had many elder family deaths to deal with. Anyone who has gone through this phase will understand its a major drain of ones resources.
Thus for the longest time i did not have the budget for hi end.
By the way several of my songs have been in the top 10 of soundclick in their genre for example The Wrecker...and several others.
anything else you want to know ? like my sock size ?

wah, wah, the same old crap, cry and spam. You told us you live in vancover, duh.

"in my email to dragon i suggested we all sign an affidavit that none of us works for any vendor. and i would be happy to sign such."

You're out of your freakin tree. Like I told you before, if you truly like this software you should stop marketing it because you are giving it a bad name.

As far as this board goes, I hope Dragon bans you this time instead of just warning you because you obviously can't take a hint.

Like I said before, if you want to argue about this lets take it to the cave instead of wasting everyones time reading this crap.

morningstar...
show me the thread where i said i lived in vancouver ...
you wont be able to because i never made such a statement.
for the umpteenth time i dont work for, never have worked for any company whose products ive recommended on here.

to all.
please note my profile and location state clearly that i have no affiliation to any company whose products i like or recommend.
PERHAPS NOW PEOPLE WILL GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT THIS
AND STOP MAKING ACCUSATIONS/HINTS THAT ARE UNTRUE.
if anyone knows - as ive tried twenty times how to get the location to go to a new line i would like to know.
thanks.
ps....to morningstar - as requested ....i have put a thread up in the cave
to talk further. Hopefully in a friendly fashion.
