I would like to get an outboard compressor to use when I record with my 4-Track cassette recorder. I have a budget of about $150.00 to spend on the compressor. I know it's not much but as I am married with my first child due in two months it's all I can afford.
I was hoping that some of you in the forum could recommend me a decent compressor for $150 or less. I really don't want one with presets and I would like to get one that has manual control over ratio, threshold, attack, and release. I will only be compressing one instrument or vocal at a time so I only need a one channel compressor.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
