I currently use Behringer MS20 active speakers, which serve me just fine for my humble little home "studio", but I worry about not hearing all the low end, and generally just thinking maybe it's time to move up a notch?

I am limited budget, but I need:

- smallish speakers to fit on my desk either side of my computer monitor
- I prefer active because I don't want the hassle of a separate amp, trying to make room for it etc
- good flat frequency response up & down the scale, good low end response is what I want, yes I know maybe that and "small" don't go together?
- goes without saying, but something that surpasses my Behringer MS20's otherwise what's the point (I do like the Behringers, I am used to them for my general music listening & my personal recording & mixing etc)

What is the best bang-for-buck out there that you can recommend for me? What have you used that you can suggest?

omg THANK YOU arcaxis! They look perfect, and just in my budget here in Australia! The specs seem to suggest they have the bottom end too. AWESOME. Thanks for replying without ripping me to shreds which my post kinda invited ha ha! Watch out JBL's here I come! :P

Yep, the 305s are a good buy - but note they have rear bass ports, so they need to be away from the front wall, or you need trapping behind them.
