hi does any one use reason in here. and if they do wat exactly does subtractor do. i dont see how it plays a sample or loop
if any one can help

subtractor will not play a loop. it is not a loop player.
read the manual.

The Subtractor is a computer simulation of an analog sound module AKA a synthesizer. It doesn't play samples or loops because that not it's purpose.

If you advance beyond using samples and loops, you may find a need at some point to compose a bass line or a melodic solo --- that is what the Subtractor excels at. Which is not to say it's any slouch in the atmospherics, strings or pads departments...

Not a big Reason fan, but Subtractor definitely does good pads (As well as bass obviously).

I just got Reason and for some reason it doesn't make any reasonable sense to me...

I guess that would be a reason for me to read the Reason manual.

Sounds reasonable doesn't it :D

And, might I ask, just what are you a 'big fan' of, Mr. Atterion? :)

Fast Cars and Faster Women :D

Actually I use Cubase SX2 (thanx to Santa a.k.a my wife). But every once in awhile I'll dig out FlStudio 4 (Nephew gave me that one free, cause he got it as a gift, and couldn't stand the whole pattern based thing). Occassionally I'll dig out my Reason Adapted or go to my cousins and use his Reason 2.5.

Reason just seems limited in too many ways for the way I work. FLStudio is a blast though :)

Yeah!!! It isn't my prefered method of working, but it is fun to break out of the mold once and awhile, and try different things.
