Returned from the dead
So I bought this behringer ada8000 thing and its awesome and all that but when I go to aarm a track in reaper and I open up the mono input option I still only see input left and input right... I'm not seeing any adat input options.

Here is my setup
Preamp -> ada8000 converter -> adat light pipe -> emu 1212m (using the emu patchmix software) -> reaper

Any ideas?

Check your REAPER preferences. You may need to set the range of available inputs to include your new ADAT.

Preferences > Audio > Device > Enable Inputs

If that's not it, you might need to change a setting for your EMU (not sure about this, never used one..)

Check your REAPER preferences. You may need to set the range of available inputs to include your new ADAT.

Preferences > Audio > Device > Enable Inputs

Thought he woulda gone done did that already - ideally but:

1. Have you selected the E-MU ASIO driver in the first drop down menu?
2. Have you enabled all the available inputs and outputs via the 'first' and 'last' drop down menus?
3. Have you enabled the 'Show non-standard stereo channel pairs' option at the bottom of the Options>Preferences>Audio page?
4. Have you got PatchMix configured correctly, as REAPER will only recognise the ins and outs made available there.

It turns out that you don't just "enable" the adat inputs. You have to tell reaper to enable a range of inputs rather than just telling what inputs it should use.
For instance, instead of telling reaper to use
Input A
Input B, and
Input D

You have to tell it to enable
First input: Input A
to
Last input: Input F

yaaaa... it was chosing the RANGE of inputs rather than just choosing the amount of inputs that I overlooked.

I jumped the gun too quick on this one :o

I figured that was self-explanatory :D (that and I'm super tired... I think it's time for bed)
