hi there, im pretty much confused. it all worked before ... but suddenly, dont know what happened. i also dont know, how to look up for that problem ... google search words etc. just about to get desperade. though, im pretty sure its just my "noobishness"

the problem is the following:

i start my recording software, and i have one empty track armed, and a beat on another track. now that armed track records from the beat with the other track and not from my mic. its connected via a tascam us-122l. i can hear the sound coming from my mic, its just not recording it. checked out my inputs etc. it records that other track 1:1. my english is pretty bad and not sure how to explain it a better way yet. hope someone understoods. if i try it in reaper or adobe ... its all the same "problem".

appreciate every try to help.

*its windows 7 and i assume/am afraid that i just have to change/switch/choose a simple option there ... or inside the program i use for recording. since it seems like it records from the output. not the input.

audio system is ASIO (sio driver US-122MKII/US144MKII. input first and last is now set on "us-122Lin L" ... before "last" was set on "R". (mic is plugged in on L) output range shows the same options as "input". no speakers to select. leaving it on first: US-122L out L and last: US-122L out R. selectin ok and giving it a try. now it at least records my mic. but the other track is still mixing in. thats a huge step forward for me. thX ALOT! (ehow doesnt seem to be up to date with the latest reaper there). what would you suggest is it i have to change, to only record from teh mic?

ok, problem solved. switched "output range: first to uss122L out R and last to us122L out L. just the other way round than before. works now. thx alot. great support.
