My Realtraps came in and really looking forward to getting them up in my space.

I purchased 2-Minitraps, and 4-Microtraps for now, and will probaby get 2 more Minitraps.

I'll post more pics of them when they're actually up.

Bowisc,

Are these going into a room you've been using for awhile? I would be interested in hearing your comments on the before and after changes to your room's sound and to your mix translation.

I will also be looking forward to more pictures.

Cheers,
Darryl.....

So far, I've put up two Mini-Traps and one Micro-Trap.

One Mini-trap is behind the rack, the other is behind the desk.
Micro-Trap is up on the wall.

There's definitely a clearing up in the 120-130Hz area. The low-end is a lot more refined now. And I can really hear what my DAC-1 can do.

The Micro-Traps are pretty decent for what they do. I like the fact that I can mount them on mic stands and move them around easily. I'm ordering two more tomorrow.

Bowisc, congratulations.

So do the micros have the same absorption level in the bass range as the mini-traps? Thinking they are the same thing just in a smaller size. Or, are they for midrange and the mini-traps for bass range?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Absolutely not.

They work OK for the mid/high end. I do recommend the HF models which will do a more aggressive job absorbing the high-frequencies.

Is it cool to have those pics covering the trap like that? I want to do that with a home made panel, I'm just worried that it will reflect some frequencies that I need absorbed.

Those are just matting that I put up temporarily. They come off when I'm working.
