Yeh you sound like a younger, more in control, less wobbly Ozzy.

Cool song. Like it a lot. Killer backing vocals

Your voice is Ozzyesque for sure (you'll hear that forever, I'm afraid), but I like that.

Love (again) the song and sounds. When will you finish your album? I like to pre-order...

It's definitely time for a new mic, buddy....

I really dig your vocals, man, but -- they do have a very "Ozzy" style to them. I'm not sure if that is a hinderence (because of the obligatory comparisons) or a good thing (since it is a great voice for this vocal style)

Just my $.02. I like the vocals a lot in this tune. Very full and understandable and they have style!

nah Ped, it's very simple.. I haven't sang anything in some time and I wanted to know what people thought about the vocals.. I used to record lots of stuff and never let anyone hear it out of fear of showing people my vocal.. I don't hide the fact that I'm very insecure when it comes to singing.. an anonymous poll I thought would let people tell me I suck without ending any cyber-friendships..

the vocal harmonies were 3 stereo voices.. I always add reverb/chorus/compression, and a de-esser.. I'm not happy with the sound.. I don't record on the computer but I add effects to the wave file in Sonar.. like the L1 Ultramximizer or the Q10 e.q.

i know i've mentioned it before at sometime, but something that i would change completely out of subjectivity in your recordings (what i would want to hear, if i were the producer or something like that).....would be the overall vocal sound that you use.....not the singing, the sound..........it kind of sounds like 'the stroke's' vocal sound, where it's like through an amp or something (could just be the mic, i'm not sure).........and after awhile, I'm just like, okay it sounds good and cool, but what does his voice really sound like?

don't get me wrong, it works well for your recordings....very well..... but with your insecurities of singing, it's possible that you subcontiously 'hide' them for lack of a better term........

the singing's good, but i still want to hear a more naked vocal track of yours with a condensor and maybe a touch of compression and eq............

again, this is all subjective, your recordings are great...hope that helps

Okay, first of all, I'm sure that you already knew that you have an Ozzy thing going on. You don't need other people to tell you what you already know. ;)

Since, I like Ozzy, ipso facto, I like your vocals too. However, speaking as someone with an Ian Anderson thing happening himself, I would suggest you try to move away from Ozzy and find your own voice. Otherwise, you'll get counterproductive comparrisons and the hard to lose "clone" label attached to you.

However, if you're looking for a Sabbath or Ozzy tribute band, I'd say you're about 99% there.

Anyway, I didn't vote in the poll.

Well another great song first off............it kinda brings together all the different things that have seemed 'unfinished' in some other recent songs of yours into a coherent 'whole'. I'm a little jealous.

As for your singing.......well you sing fine and you always have these great harmonies. You and SluiCe are the two guys with the most distinctive harmonies. They really stand out and call attention to themselves......in a good way bro.

As for the sound......a little harsh.......that's gotta be the mic. I didn't go looking thru your gear list so i don't know what mic you're using but there's a mid-range harshness to it.
You can, of course, buy another mic but you could also try tweaking the EQ a bit if you can get away from that "Gotta record it flat...it's the law!" mindset. I think if you pulled 2k down maybe as little as 1 or 2 db it would make a big difference.

Nice tune BTW.....How do you always get your new tune to be at the top of your Nowhere page?

Whoa whoa whoa! Hold it right there.

I have Sonar and I haven't seen anything called "Ultramaximizer". With a name like "Ultraanything" i would like to see what it can do. "Ultravibrator"?? Yeah!!Throw it in the mix!! Is it a part of Sonar? Where did you find it?

Also does anyone know if Sonar has a de-esser?
