heartbeat type conga ?
my mouth is doing strange things while I listen to the intro wah guitar ...
shit is tight ...
Now, i've been bitching lately about the use of sidestick or block in some of the tunes lately, and you just let this one melt into the mix, it's gone at one point and we never notice, excellent mixing of that element alone. And for a moment the stick and the snare become one ... very nice.
Vocal is mixed well, we get a nice strong beginning, all the words are clear, understandable this first listen ... so far

, (and on second and third listen all vox understandable with no struggle.)
And the vox performance itself is excellent.
big round meaty guitar, me likes ...
Bass and rythm guitar are mixing very nicely ...
So ... what we might think of as the backup vocal, comes quickly out in front of the initial lead, like someone sticking their ooogleee haid through the crowd ... I like ... at 0:31-2
At 0:42, I don't know why, but I just don't think the backVox is not mixing well ... maybe it's 'too clean' and the verb on it emphsizes it's cleanness, it needs to set more on the edge with the lead ... maybe a flange or phaser on that vox ... some kind of goody to make it worthy ... i dunno ...
At 0:54 - 0:57, I like, I like the backups, a sense or real urgency, maybe those other ones before were just too laid back.
At 1:12, seems the guitar gets 'snipped' ...
At 1:18, the vocal is mixed fantastic ! I like this guy opening the closet like a crack and yelling through that crack, or like he's yelling in your ear, behind the back of his hand, at a concert.
Who needs a fucking concert when I can download cool original shit like this huh ?
At 1:44 someone cusses, imma tell yer mommeeee. u cud get banned from the ninnernet fer dat ...
no, but ... i won't tell ...

... what are those little white things dode, is that candy ?
At 1:47, the B part of that vocal phrase, I would crystalize more which voice you really want 'leading' there, like in the beginning, when you effectively 'switched' vocals on us, bringing what could easily be thought of as the backVox, up and over the lead, to create a 'new lead' ... if you can do this here again, mirroring that first instance, you've got a very sophisticated stylistic hook you could develop there.
Yes at 1:47 to 1:58, things are getting confusing vocally, but at 1:59, like magic, these things clear up, and a focused lead voice is re-established with well mixed backVox, might need a bit more crafting on the vox from 1:47 to 1:58. Are you hiding something under there young man ?
At 1:55, something in the vox is 'flat' ?
At 2:03 that does not happen, it's perfect, and again at 2:12, ses manufique !
And the section from 2:01 to 2:04 is just primo ...
2:10 to 2:14, primo, moist man ... good cake there on the vox.
At 2:30, I'm thinking there's too much verb on the vocal, could be sharper there, maybe EQ me some more mids on the vox. I want to hear the vocal nice and edgy again, in my face again here.
At 2:47 ... uhhhh gotta go to the bathroom hold on ... brb ....
ok ... little wierd men are in my computer !!!! agggghhhhh .... hee hee ...
At 3:30, I hear this 'heart again' ... breathing, and beating ... I'd fade out sooner on this heart ... leave us to get back into our own trip sooner ... just get us jump-started into it with the heart thing at the end.
I know you probably had some anal fixation on 4:00, wanting to be perfect and all, and probably did a bunch of algebra and shit to get it right on 4:00 minutes ... but ... well ... that's pretty fucking good dude !
Hey, you are a master at what you are doing, a master musician.
