Questions About Corrosion Inside Components, Heat and Long-ish Term Storage

Just another guy, really.
I have considerable equipment that is not being used on a regular basis. Some is mine, some my son's, who is the real sound tech- I do the best I can, but am no expert. Some ADATS, two Digi001's, various effects units, power amplifiers, a Studiomaster board, a Soundcraft board, a Tascam board, cases for the Studiomaster and Soundcraft boards, a big heavy box of cables, one 16 x 4 and one 12 x 4 snake, condenser and dynamic mics, two congas, two snares, several electric and acoustic guitars, tube and solid state guitar amps, tube pre amps and a tube compressor, house and monitor speakers in cabs, a uke, more stuff I can't recall at the moment.

I have several places, in my home, to store it. They include:
Walk-in closets in my music room and guest bedroom. Not nearly big enough to store it all.

Music room wall (thats where the guitars are.)

Music room fllor (a typical sized bedroom, which I want to keep as clear as possible so I can actually play music in there.)

3-car sized Garage (which is really for my Mustang and motorcycles, I'd rather not store too much gear there.)

Attic, over garage. Same footprint size as garage, or almost. Quite dry, and had eve and roof vents, but still gets hot up there. I have rigged an electric winch to get stuff up there, and the floor is sturdy and fully covered in plywood, so weight is not an issue.

I know gear can corrode if not stored properly. "Wiskers" can grow on the circuit boards, and short things out when powered up. My son tells me that heat speeds up the process, even if the area is fairly dry. Here are the things I know of to do to control this:

I have two mil-spec boxes, air tight with o-ring seals on the lids. Maybe put some of the gear in them, and put them up in the attic?

Some of the gear can go in the closets, but this is also our home- I don't want the guest bedroom closet to be full of gear when I have extended-stay guest.

Guitars are on the wall or on stands in front of my guitar wall. Drums will be in one of the closets or music room. No worries there. Only issue with that is it leaves me scare room for anything else there.

One each- electric hardshell case, acoustic HSC, electric gig bag and acoustic gig bag sleep in the music room closet. All others are closed up and will be in attic.

I've seen on the net "emmitters" that, when put in a sealed or semi-sealed box, emit chemicals that lightly coat the surfaces of the gear. Makers say it is totally harmless to electronics, and no removal of the film is needed when the gear goes back into service. Seems military and industry use them, so they are well-proven. Cost are not bad- I can get more than I need for less than a hundred bucks- that would just about buy me a life-time supply, in fact. they say that heat improves the emmitters' performance. Maybe I could use these to put all the electronics that I wanted to store, in the attic?

Or, would simple silica jel be good enough?

Assuming I do not get the emmitters, what can go in the attic, and what should NOT go there?

I did a google search, found some good, technical papers, but no real source for practical advise.

Thanks, group.
